Biography

Marie Madeleine Boucher was born on 6 Jan 1803 and baptized on 10 Apr 1803 in Bouctouche, the daughter of Jean Baptiste Boucher and Marie Cormier.^[1][2]

Madeleine married Joseph Williams dit Bristol, son of Mathurin Bristol and Marie Gauthier, on 20 Jul 1830 in Grand Digue.^[3][4] Their children were:

1. Simeon Williams (1831 - 1906)
2. Marie Bristol (1832 - 1845)
3. Joseph Williams (1844 - 1902)

In the 1861 census Madeline (age 58) lived in Dundas, New Brunswick.^[5] She lived with her husband Joseph Williams (58), son Simon (30) and his wife Osite (27) and their daughter Mary (1), and her son Joseph (17).

In the 1871 census Magdeleine (age 67) was a widow and lived in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick with her son Joseph William (27), and a child Joseph William (11).^[6]

In the 1881 census Marie Magdelaine (age 78) lived in the household of her son Joseph in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.^[7]

She died on 24 Nov 1890 in Cocagne.^[8] The age given on her burial record was 88 years.^[9]
