Biography
Mary Antoinette Boucher was born in either Beebe, Quebec;[1], French-speaking Canada[2] or Newport, Orleans, Vermont.[3],[4],[5]
Her death record and obituary report her parents as Adelard Boucher and Emma Proux.[6][4] (Her mother's maiden name is "Proulx" in some other records; her mother died in 1954 in Berkshire, Massachusetts.[7]. Her father died in 1965 in Grafton, NH.[8]
While her obituary claims a marriage date of 29 Jan 1930 in Ellicott City, Maryland,[4] she was enumerated in April 1930 as single daughter Antoinette M Boucher of parents Adelard and Emma in Grafton, New Hampshire.[2] Her father was a "fore carpenter" for the railroad. Her husband was also still single in April 1930, when he was enumerated in Washington DC with parents and working for the railroad.
In 1940, they were enumerated in Hyattesville, Maryland where Edgar was a hotel baggage porter.[5]
By April 1931, they were living in Ft Worth, Texas when and where their first child was born.[9]
They must have moved a lot because their children were born in Texas (1931), DC (1935), New Hampshire (1936), DC (1937), and Maryland (1938-1940).
In 1950, they resided in Woodside, Grafton, New Hampshire; Edgar was working as a carman (repair car) for the Boston-Maine railroad. May was a waitress in a hotel.[10]
Mother (with Edgar Pletzer) of:
Georgia Lee Pletzer, b 4 Nov 1931 Ft Worth, Texas.[9]
