In 1754-1755 they resided in Aulac, (New Brunswick)[7]
In 1763 Joseph, Catherine and their first child, Adelaide, were held prisoners in Halifax.[8]
From there, they settled in Bonaventure by 1777; Enfants de Joseph BOURG et Catherine COMEAU: "1 garçon de moins de 16 ans (Joseph) - 3 filles de moins de 16 ans (Théotiste, Pélagie, Marie) - 1 fille de plus de 16 ans" (Adélaïde). ( Note that the children's names were not included in the census)[9]
Joseph est décédé à Bonaventure en 1797[10] et leur mère Catherine, en 1817, également à Bonaventure.
