Biography

Pierre Bourg is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 9 Left. Listed with him is his wife Marie Naquin and three children: Pierre, Jeanne and Victoire.[1]

Pierre BOURG, born about 1730,[2] was the son of Francois & Madeleine HEBERT. He married 26 Jan 1761 at St. Suliace to Anne-Marie NAQUIN, daughter of Jacques & Jeanne MELANSON; four children listed. He and wife and family of 8 were in the Fourth Convoy leaving Chatellerault for Nantes from 6 Mar to 13 Mar 1776. He went to Louisiana in 1785 with wife and 3 children aboard the "St. Remi."[3]He died in Louisiana before 1 Jan 1788.

He married Marie Anne NAQUIN 26 Jan 1761 in St. Suliac, Ille-et-Vilaine, France 6[8]
