Biography

Françoise was born around 1724.^[1] She was listed with her parents at age 28 in the 1752 census at Rivière de l'ouest, Isle Saint-Jean. (present-day Prince Edward Island). ^[2]

Françoise married Paul Doiron, son of Noel Doiron and Marie Henry, on 29 November 1753 at Port-la-Joye, Isle Saint-Jean.^{[3] [1]}

Françoise and Paul passed away around 13 December 1758 at sea en route to France, when the ship the Duke William sank.^[1]

   They have in live stock, four cows, one calf, one sow, four pigs, and eight fowls or chickens. The land upon which they are settled is situated on the south side of said Rivière du Ouest and was given them verbally by Monsieur de Bonnaventure. They have made a clearing upon which they have sown three bushels of grain.
