William Bourne

He was born about 1527 at Bobbingworth, Essex, England. He was the son of John Bourne and his wife Margaret. He married Margaret Ryse, daughter of Richard Ryse, about 1550 at Essex, England. William "the elder" was buried at St Germain, Bobbingworth 30 May 1581 beneath the chancel window.[1][2]
He purchase Bobbingworth manor in Essex in 1566 from Richard Rich, 1st Baron Rich and died in possession of the manor in 1581. [3] He purchased further lands from1st Baron Rich in 1580. [4]
He died in 1581, leaving a will as of William Bourne of Bobbingwoerth, Essex, Gentleman, written 29 Apr 1581, with a codicil dated 17 May 1581, and proved 25 Sep 1581.[5][6] He was buried at Bobbingworth, Essex 30 May 1581. [7]
