Mary Bowden was born 19 DEC 1669, Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts.^{[citation needed]} She married James Washburn in East Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts on December 20, 1693.^[1]

James Washburn, youngest son of John and Elizabeth (Mitchell) Washburn, married Mary Bowden on 20 Dec. 1693 in Bridgewater.^[2] She was born in ca. 1670,^[3] probably in England,^[4] and they settled also in Bridgewater.

Mary (Bowden) Washburn died on 18 Dec. 1747 in Bridgewater, aged 77 years, and was buried in the Old Graveyard in Bridgewater.^[5]

James Washburn and Mary Bowden had children^[6] :

• Mary Washburn, born on 28 Oct. 1694 in Bridgewater, married William Snow 3rd, son of William and Naomi (Whitman) Snow Jr., of Bridgewater, on 8 Nov. 1722 in Bridgewater, and they lived in Bridgewater.

• Anna Washburn, born on 1 Feb. 1695/6 in Bridgewater, was probably never married, but she had a child born out‑of‑wedlock by Isaac Hayward, son of Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Crossman) Hayward Jr., of East Bridgewater.
