  • "United States Census, 1900," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M3Z1-R9T : accessed 8 August 2017), Bessie Bowen in household of Henry M Porter, Green Township (east side of river) Quitman village, Nodaway, Missouri, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 100, sheet 9B, family 183, NARA microfilm publication T623 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1972.); FHL microfilm 1,240,878.

There is no documentation, death cert, etc. on John Bowen, Bessie's father. If anyone has any information please let me know.

Bessie Bowen was married to Charles Wesley McKibben on 4 Oct 1902 in Quitman Nodaway County, Missouri, USA. There is no notification of a divorce, separation or death of Charles. There is a Charles Wesley McKibben about the same age but documentation on Ancestry.com does not say he was married to Bessie Bowen, but was married to 2 other women.

Bessie died, I believe in childbirth as there is death record of a baby boy that died the same year as Bessie in Iowa. The record was found on Ancestry.com a few years ago, but now is not there, or can't be located again. Will keep searching for this record. If anyone has any information on Bessie Bowen, John Bowen or census with Charles W McKibben and Bessie between 1902-1909 I would appreciate it.
