Biography

Adam was born about 1783 in Pennsylvania. He passed away sometime after 1860. [1] .

Adam Bowen was residing in Floyd county when Lawrence county was formed by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky on December 14, 1821. His property was mentioned as the border at the mouth of White's Creek.[2]

200 acres along Bakers Br was recorded as being surveyed for Adam Bowen on June 18, 1846..[3]

Family Search has his father as Ward Bowen who was listed as a Captain in the Revolutionary War.

  • Unsourced - could not locate any Ward Bowen who was captain but wikipedia has a Captain Richard Bowen.
