No explanation to the birth date interference problem

Biography

Jacob was born in 1824. He is the son of Jacob Bowers and Margaret Beckinbaugh. He passed away in 1913. [1]

In the 1860 US Census, Jacob, 35, his wife Sallie, 38 and William, 10 were living in Benington Twp, Licking County, Ohio, United States. [2]


Mr. Bowers was born in Green county, Pennsylvania, Sept. 17, 1824 and was therefore aged 88 years, 4 months and 19 days. He moved to Licking county from the Keystone State with his parents when two years of age and settled in McKean township, near Highwater, residing there for a number of years. Later he resided for some time near Appleton. He was married in early life, his wife departing this life about 15 years ago. Mr. Bowers is survived by two brothers and three sisters, William Bowers, of Elmwood avenue, this city; Lewis Bowers, of Richwood, Union county, O.; Mrs. Hannah Pease, of Marion, O.; Mrs. Elizabeth Benjamin, of Carrollton, Mo.; and Mrs. Mary Ann Johnson, of Highwater this county.

Short funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the William Bowers home in Elmwood avenue, and Saturday morning the body was taken to Johnstown and interment made in the Lake cemetery.
