Biography
Born Jan 22, 1676 in Medfield, Norfolk, Massachusetts, the son of John Bowers and Sarah Clark.[1] A month later, his father and grandfather were killed in an Indian attack.[2].[3] He survived and his widowed mother married Samuel Smith of Medfield one year later. He married Hannah Partridge 30 Nov 1702. They had 8 children. He died iin Medfield 13 Jun 1729 at age 54..[3] Children, b. in Medfield: John, b. Dec. 6, 1703; d. young. John, b. Apr. 14, 1706. Seth, b. Apr. 17, 1707; d. Aug. 5, 1719. Hannah, b. Mar. 13, 1708-9. Sarah, b. May 24, 1711. Elisha, b. Sept. 10, 1715. James, b. Apr. 3, 1718. Mary, b. May 5, 1720.
