Gavin Bowie

There are some curiosities which might bear further study. Is it likely that one couple would have two sons named James and two daughters named Janet/Jonnet given the firsts did not die young? Is it likely that children would be born to this couple in St Ninians and in Falkirk in an alternating manner? I certainly appreciate the consolidation of some of the clear duplicates in the study of 17th-c. Bowies but I think maybe we might be dealing with two different Williams. I would be happy to be wrong if someone knows better than me.

Hi again, Looks like the two James Bowies are in the wrong family. I've proposed a merge and will sort out his line once this is done. Lots more to research here !
