Mildred McCormick, 85, of Fort Smith, AR died Tuesday, January 16, 2007 in her residence. She was a longtime resident of the area, a lifetime member of the RSVP Advisory Council serving three terms. She was a member of the Westark RSVP for 20 years. She was awarded in 2004 the Presidential Service Award from President Bush. Mrs. McCormick was on the founding Board of Cluster Fellowship, Inc. She was preceded in death by her husband James H. McCormick, SR in 2003. She is survived by two daughters, Jeannie Prescott of Alma and Paula Udouj of Van Buren; one son, James McCormick of Fort Smith; two sisters Betty Yeager of California and Ruth Perrier of Mulberry; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Scott Prescott, Samuel Udouj, Paul Gene Perrier, Rick Apolskis, Tom Craft and Kenneth McCormick. Honorary Pallbearer will be Luther Swindell. Reverend Ronnie Gilmore will officiate.
