Charlotte Bowman was born June 22, 1833, the oldest child of eleven children of William Bowman and Rebecca Morris.
On August 21, 1853, she married Jacob East. They had three children, William, Samuel, and Emma.
After Jacob's death, on August 15, 1867, Charlotte married Thomas Lucas and had four more children, Abraham, Thomas, Franklin, and Charlotte. [1][2]
Sometime after the death of Thomas Lucas Charlotte and children apparently moved to Oxford, Kansas, where there were other Lucases and Bowmans. However, she was still in Logan County at the time of the 1880 census.[3]
Charlotte died in 1908 and is buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Cameron, Missouri.
