Jacob Bowman, Jr, the son of Jacob Bowman and Varena ____, was born about 1740 in Pennsylvania, prior to his family's move in 1750 to Washington County, Maryland. He married Susanna Milhouse the daughter of Morris Milhouse and Dorothy Myer by about 1767 or 1768. Their first known child, Jacob Bowman III, was born about 1769 in Virginia. Jacob's will was probated on April 27, 1789 in Rockingham County Court.[1]

Jacob Jr. moved to North Carolina
David married Catherine Frank/Frantz December 25, 1799
Mary married Samuel Yount and remained in Virginia
Daniel married Rebecca Zimmerman February 8, 1798, then went to Tennessee; #John married Elizabeth Steele in Rockingham County April 25, 1796, and lived on Boones Creek in Tennessee
Joseph married twice, ____ Hess and Christina Beahm
Catharine married John Miller
