George Adam Bowman, born about 1731 in Albany, Herkimer County, NY, married Ann Mary Conrad about 1757. He is listed as his father's eldest son and prior to 1757 lived at "the homestead" on Bowman's Creek, Canajoharie. George Adam enlisted in the Corps of Rangers when the Revolutionary War began and was honorably discharged from Butler's Ranger's in the spring of 1779 - "in order to provide for his wife and children who were in Canada". During the war his family had to flee their farm on the Suskehana River and go to Ontario. George Adam Boman died 1803 in Grantham Twp., Ontario. Children born to George Adam and Ann: Margaret b. 1770 - Elizabeth - Jacob b. 1759 - Hannah b. 1760 - Henry b. 1761 - Mary - Susannah b. 1765 - Adam b. 1775 - Catherine b. 1776 - Eve b. 1781 and John b. 1782.
