Biography

Anne Bowman was born in Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts December 4 , 1695, and was baptized there September 6, 1698. She was the daughter of Captain Nathaniel Bowman and Anne Barnard Bowman. [1] [2]

Anne was married in Watertown to Nathaniel Bright, Jr., about 1714. He was the son of Nathaniel Bright and Mary Coolidge Bright. After his death in 1731, she married (2) Richard Clarke of Watertown October 6, 1741. [3][2]

Anne Bowman died in Watertown after October 6, 1741. [2]

No evidence she was the mother of Mary, who was described as the "natural child" (illigitamate) of Nathaniel Bright. Mary was born years before the marriage of Nathaniel and Anne Bowman
