Biography
Polybius was a Private in the Civil War born on March 25, 1841. He "enlisted in Company C, Virginia 7th Cavalry Regiment on 15 Jun 1861. Mustered out on 15 Jun 1862. Transferred to Company K, Virginia 12th Cavalry Regiment on 15 Jun 1862. Mustered out on 02 Dec 1862" and did not survive the war (The Virginia Regimental Histories Series Civil War Soldier Records and Profiles). [1]
