George Boyd was born about 31 May 1691 in Airth, Stirlingshire, Scotland, son of George Boyd (abt. 1660–abt. 1712) and Elizabeth Johnston (abt. 1670–abt. 1705).
George had a brother, John Boyd (abt. 1687–abt. 1745).
George (27) married Isobell Burns (27) (born on 22 Mar 1691 in Queensferry, Linlithgowshire, Scotland) on 13 Jul 1718 in South Leith, Midlothian, Scotland.[1]
George died about 1731 in Compass, Chester, Province of Pennsylvania, aged about 39.
DNA
) The Boyd FTDNA group list George / Isabella in the A-M32 haplogroup.
) Therefore it is biologically IMPOSSIBLE for any direct descendant to claim R-M269 as the Haplogroup without some type of NPE.
) Therefore the DNA listed under this profile may be incorrectly linked and ALL facts in the descendants need to be rechecked for errors.
I, Ed Street, have added the father as NON-BIOLOGICAL to fix the R-M haplogroup bleed over into this line. It is said this line is A-M32, to date no proof or evidence has been shown to me to back up this claim. Until proof can be obtained I think the non-biological would be the proper path to take. Any parents on this line is also skeptical and without proof.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with George by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
Parentage of George Boyd/Boid Sr. has been corrected. Please re-check the DNA results and update it. From Mike Boyd [CLANDBOYD-HOB]: "Colin Boyd, who is a direct descendant of George and Isabella Boyd’s son Patrick Boyd, through his second marriage and his son Richard Coleman Boyd.
Colin has taken this family DNA from the A-M32 level in the 67 and or 111 Marker lever to A-BY16272 level with the Big Y700 results.
In the Wikitree Boyd-1069 and Boyd-1071, his DNA results are published. However, on George Boyd, Sr.’s page, when you click on his father, it shows “Robert Boyd and Elizabeth Jennet Johnston” as his parents. (Robert Boyd 1678-1743)
It is biologically impossible for George to be listed in the A haplogroup and R haplogroup. I highly doubt that the three males with YDNA listed above have any hard proof paper trails to George Boyd. These profiles are heavily conflated and every one of them needs to be examined closely for errors.
Robert would have been only 13 years of age when George was born, and Robert was Presbyterian, a member of the church established by Adam Boyd in the same area. Robert was Presbyterian; the George was Episcopal.

I think that I have been writing for about a “decade” or more that his parents are George Boyd (1660-17xx) George Boyd (abt.1660-abt.1712) and Elizabeth Johnston Elizabeth (Johnston) Boyd (abt.1670-abt.1705) [m. 4 June 1686, Airth, Stirlingshire]" (I added the WikiTree ID's)
