Biography

Jesse Sylvester Boyd was born on 4 September 1883 in Baxter County, Arkansas, United States, son of Thomas H. Boyd (1853–1931) and Sarah Ann Liles (1861–1897).[1]

Jesse registered for the draft for World War I in 1918 in Cherokee County, Oklahoma where he was farming. He was described as medium in height and stout with dark hair and brown eyes.[2]

He married Maud Martin 4 August 1908 in Baxter County.[3] They soon left for Oklahoma where they raised their family. [4]

He and his wife were tragically killed by a train collision on 27 December 1938 [5]in Oklahoma, aged 55. They are buried at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Hubert, Oklahoma.[6]

Research Notes

Both Jesse and his wife Maude were killed in a train wreck in Oklahoma.
