Boyd-20277 and Boyd-1070 appear to represent the same person because: clear duplicate

Tamara,

I linked Richard Coleman Boyd to his mother Ann (Douglas) Boyd. The marriage date was already entered. Thank you!

Ann (Douglas) Boyd (1725 - 1787) -2048 in our family records is listed as the mother of Richard Coleman Boyd Sr (1753 - 1823) -Boyd-9456. She and Patrick Boyd-1070, his father, were married in 1751.
Unsourced Citation from Isabella says she arrived in 1721, so birthplace may be Ireland.

Boyd-3140 and Boyd-1070 appear to represent the same person because: These three Patrick Boys are most likely the same person . If the location of birth is the only difference then that should be discussed in the biography.

Please note that it was not me that first proposed a merger on Patrick Boyd. It was Amanda Pitts. I do not have the answer as to which is his correct birth info, and am now confused and unsure of just what it is I need to do to resolve this situation. Will be glad to also add you to the trusted list on his profile that was created from my uploaded Gedcom, if this will help; but think I have to have your email address so do so(?)
I got a request to merge profiles for Patrick Boyd, but wasn't able to do so. Now see that you have posted a message to me that you don't think the profiles should be merged, that they need more research. My original info is from an old "Grissom" family history from 25+ years ago, and I do not know of any primary source records that would help in this case. I do have info from a Christian County (KY) Family history book (page 50) that only says this (Paraphrased): Early in the 18th Century, George & Isabella Boyd emigrated to the Chester/ Lancaster, PA area from County Atrium, Ulster in Northern Ireland. There were 5 sons: George, Jr., Patrick, John, James and Robert... I will be glad to turn over profile management to you if that will help.
I have no further information on Patrick Boyd, so cannot confirm or deny his place of birth.
Trying to approve this merge, but having trouble with Wikitree letting me do it.
Boyd-3329 and Boyd-3140 are not ready to be merged because: Much is the same on the two profies, but the not the birth place. Needs more study/sources before merging.
