Funeral Services For Mrs. Hayden Young to be Held Friday 2:00 p.m. Mrs. S. Hayden Young, 60, died at Vanderbilt Hospital this morning at 4:00 as a result of a major operation which was performed Tuesday morning. Mrs. Young had been critically ill for more than a month.

She was a daughter of the late A. L. Boyd and wife, Elizabeth Nichols Boyd, and was born and reared in the 11th district of this county. On September 9, 1903, she was married to S. Hayden Young. Mrs. Young was an active member of the Church of Christ, Daughters of the American Revolution, Sewing and Garden Club, and was keenly interested in other civic organizations.

Besides here husband, she is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Roy Brown of Knoxville, Mrs. Elsie Young Phillips of Nashville, one son, Charles Young of Bermuda, and 3 gransons, Maddin Phillips, III, Charles Steven, and David Martin Young; 2 brothers, Benton B. Boyd, Columbia, TN, and Jasper L. Boyd of Deadwood, SD; 2 sisters, Mrs. J. W. Gann, Chestnut Mound, and Mrs. Ofa Johnson of Sacramento, CA.
