Joseph served in the American Revolution. He was a private in the 2nd Company, 8th Battalion, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Militia.[2]
Joseph died at age 41 on 20 September 1781, in Hershey, Dauphin, Pennsylvania, and is buried in the Derry Presbyterian Church Cemetery.[3]
Research Notes
listed children born in 3 different states is a major red flag for conflation.
listed birthplace, death place is the same county in PA, yet 3 children is listed born out of state?
death age was 41 and died during the Revolutionary War, making him INELIGIBLE for SAR/DAR certification.
Many listings, elsewhere, shows this man having a dozen children, fighting in the War and dying at 41, that is quite an amazing feat for the 1760-1770 era.
