Note: Mom related that He had had seveal heart attacks, but still lived to a ripe old age. He went to lie down one afternoon, and didn't get up. He had a glass eye from losing the original to a richocheting nail. He worked as a Lumber inspector in Michigan. After moving back to Carterette, NJ, he worked as a manager in a lumber business in Cherry Hill, NJ, Papa was 8 year old. When he lost his job, the family moved back to Monticello and opened the Boyd General Store. He was nearly 50 when his children were born, and white haired.

Was born William John, but he changed it as an adult.

Had a heart attack along road between home and Miss Monticello Diner.

Mom related: John went adventuring in Col. He came home when his father died. He went to a picnic at Marywold Park and met Jane Lindsay Nairn McKinlay. He went to visit her after she returned home in NYC. They courted. He went to Wisconsin, came back and married her and took her to Wisconsin. He was 45, she was 42. He managed a lumber mill in Wis.
