Samuel Boyd Sr. was born about 1778 in Ireland.[1][2] He immigrated with his parents to the United States from Ireland aboard the Lady Washington, arriving in 1804 in Charleston, South Carolina.[3]
He married Margaret[1] and the couple had the following known children:
