I have a very extensive Middlecoff/Middlekauff family tree with 9 charts prepared by Jehu Baker Middlecoff going back to Peter Mittelkauff , a German immigrant who arrived at Philadelphia on August 24, 1728 on the English ship Mortonhouse. The family tree goes up to about 1936. Most of the family members went by and still go by Middlekauff but J.B.'s great grandfather John changed the spelling to Middlecoff. My husband William Mills is directly descended from Peter Mittelkauff. His branch spells it Middlekauff.
The chart says J.B. Middlecoff married Jessie Boyd 4-17-1866 in Duluth MN. Their children are Robert Hudson was born 8-25-1890; Lewis Ewell born 6-19-1894; Mary Elizabeth born 9/8/1896 and Agnes Lucille born 11-25-1900.
