Family stories have him coming from Tennessee then moving to Drakes Creek ( or Drakestown, according to Claran Wiles Boyd, their oldest daughter) Madison County, where he met Myrtle May Neal, my grandmother. There is a Neal family photo taken 1913 Drakestown, Madison County, Arkansas. Fred worked in Gresham-Portland, Multnomah County, OR as a plumber.[1]
