James Boyd served with the Confederate forces during the US Civil War. He was with Company G, 4th Tennessee Cavalry.[1][2] James was in a Confederate pension record.[3]
James married Elisabeth Ponder on 24 January 1867 in Wilson, Tennessee, United States.[4] In the 1900 census Jas (age 54), Merchant, was the married head of household in Castor, Stoddard, Missouri.[5]
James died on 20 March 1912 and was buried in Frisco Cemetery, Frisco, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma, United States.[6]
