Margaret was the daughter of Thomas Boyd, earl of Arran, and Mary Stewart, born sometime after 1468. She married (first) Alexander Forbes, 4th Lord Forbes, who died before 16 May 1491.[1] She married (second) David Kennedy, earl of Cassillis, who was killed in the Battle of Flodden 9 September 1513.[1]
She was still living on 9 February 1515/6 when she filed an appeal in a dispute with her stepson, the 2nd earl of Cassillis.[1]
