b & d Tintwistle, chr. 15.2.1836 in Mottram in Longdendale - parents, Robert(overlooker, b Tintwistle 14.3.1797-1852, his parents, Samuel Boyer[b 1765, hollingworth to 12.9.1836] and Mary Oldham[1771, Mottram in L. -7.2.1818] and Jane nee Luty[b Clifford, Yorks. 11.11.1798-1877, her parents John Luty[26.6.1768, Kirk Hammerton, Yorks - <1838] and Martha England [18.11.1771, Clifford, Yorks. - 5.3.1803]. In 1841[age 5] was at Brookfield, Glossop, Hayfield, with parents, Robert[40, overlooker of looms], Jane[40] and siblings, Edward[?13, cotton weaver], Martha[11] and Alfred[6mths.]. In 1851[age 15, mechanic cotton mill] was at ? Falts St, Hollingworth, Tintwistle with parents, Robert[54, overlooker steam looms], Jane[52] and siblings, Edward[22, b Leeds, overlooker steam looms], Martha[20, b Tintwistle, steam loom weaver] and Alfred[10 b Stockport]. Married Jane Wroe[1831]on 20.8.1857 at St. Paul, Stayley Bridge he a mechanic, she a weaver, abode Stayley, father, William a machine printer and his father, Robert Boyer an overlooker; witnesses, William Ballcliff and Caroline Thorp. Jane and husband Robert Luty were witnesses at her brother William's wedding in 1862. Children – 1.
