DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Asahel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Asahel:
Beyer-1320 and Boyer-593 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents, birth and death dates, etc. His name (or one of the variants) was Asahel, not Asabel. He went by Beyer (on his grave) and sometimes Bayer, but not Boyer.
Boyer-1716 and Beyer-1320 appear to represent the same person because: all information except the name is identical. The differences in names can be explained by the fact that it is spelled half a dozen different ways in the references.
