Research Notes

  • Clinton's American Boyers lists this John Philip Beyer as the son of John Henry Beyer and Magdalene Kercher (no mention of Specht). The entry reads:
"C (2) John Philip Beyer, son of John Henry Beyer and Magdalene Kercher, was born Dec. 14, 1754, died July 31, 1832, and buried at Amityville, where his wife is also buried. Married Anna Christina _________ , born Jan. 1, 1754, died Nov. 10, 1832. He made a "will" in 1831. No known war record. Children: John, Michael, Maria, Jacob A., Peter, and Daniel."

It looks like there has been a cross of 2 different Philip Boyers. The son of John Henry and Elizabeth Specht is given in the book as born in 1725 in Germany. More research needed! Golder-180 13:14, 15 March 2023 (UTC)
