Thomas was Chamberlain of Hastings in 1610, one of two, responsible for running the town and treasurer duties.^[1][15]

Will of Thomas Brabon, yeoman of Newhaven, dated 14 Dec 1624, proved 25 Aug 1632 from Will book A22 1632 B6 of the Archdeaconry court of Lewes.^[16][1] A yeoman in that time period was a farmer who owned land.^[17]
