Biography

Lucy Lee Brace Chittenden is the daughter of Jonathan Brace and Sarah Finch Brace. She was born in Litchfield, Connecticut on May 5, 1841 and died in Brooklyn, New York on March 8, 1926.

Lucy married Richard Handy Chittenden in 1861. Richard enlisted in the Civil War, so their family was delayed until his return. In 1864, their son, Jonathan Brace, was born. In 1866, another son, Richard Percy was born.
