Patrick Bradley, cooper, from Co Cork arrived as a free settler on the "Lady East" in 1833, with his wife Catherine.
By 1842, he was bankrupt. Several run ins with the law followed, often involving drink.
In 1851, he came before the court charged with the abuse and neglect of his four young children, who were then placed in an orphanage.[1]
Patrick was born between 1808 and 1811. He passed away in 1876.
