Biography

Mis-assigned Marys

There are several Mary Bradleys currently being confused as the wife of Caleb Mix (1661-1708).

The Ancestry trees that list her born 7 June 1680 (previous date used on this profile) list her parents as Isaac Bradley and Elizabeth (?Darrish). Isaac indeed had a daughter Mary born around 1680, but according to Jacobus that Mary married John Higgins of Westchester Co., NY. If born in 1680 she would only have been 14 in 1694 when she supposedly married Caleb.

Other Ancestry trees have her listed as d/o Caleb Bradley & Hester and d/o William Bradley and Alice.

7 June 1680 is actually the birthdate of Sarah the d/o Benjamin Bradley born in New Haven, Connecticut.

Birth

Mary Bradley (twin of Abigell), daughter of Nathan & Hester Bradley, was born in Guilford, Connecticut, March 13, 1672.[1][2]

She married Joshua Tuttle on 26 FEB 1710 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut."[4]

She died after 1711, when her daughter was born.

Hi, I do not believe that the birth date given on the profile is correct. I tend to go with "Families of Ancient New Haven" when in doubt. Please read the notes Ive added to the bio. Let me know it you agree or disagree.
