Dr. Samuel Bradstreet, a physician, graduated from Harvard College in 1653; he married first, Mercy Tyng; and, second, Martha (unknown). From Genealogical and Personal Memoirs, Volume 1, edited by William Richard Cutter.
In 1654, he graduated from Harvard University under the name Broadstreatte. On November 6, 1657, he embarked from Boston sailing to England, returning on July 17, 1661.
In 1662, Simon married Mercy Tyng, and they had five children, two of whom died young Bradstreet-485 and Bradstreet-107.
Following his first wife's death on September 6, 1670, Samuel departed to seek his fortune in the island of Jamaica in the West Indies. He soon remarried to Margery LNU and had three more children: John born in 1676; Simon born 1680 (graduate of Harvard University Class of 1700); and a daughter, Ann.
Samuel died in Port Royal, Jamaica in August 1682 and is buried in the Lost Port Royal Cemetery, [1]

George R. Perkins, WikiTree Member; I have a copy of the 3-volume set, The Great Migration Begins, Immigrants to New England, 1620-1633, published in Boston 1995, by the New England Historic Genealogical Society. In Vol. I, pages 209-215 is a discussion of Simon Bradstreet, MA Governor (1603/04-1697), with a listing of his 8 children. Here's what is listed for his first son, Samuel, on page 213:
"Samuel, b. say 1632; Harvard College 1653 [Sibley I:360-61]; m. (1) "in" 1662 Mercy Tyng [TAG 32:18] ; m. (2) by 1682 Margery or Martha _____."
"Sibley listed above refers to John Langdon Sibley, Biographical Sketches of Graduates of Harvard University, 1642-1689, 3 volumes (Cambridge 1873-1875).
"TAG" listed above refers to The American Genealogist, Volume 9 to present (1992+)
Since "The Great Migration" is an extremely reputable set, I recommend that the warning about Samuel be removed.

There also was a second wife of Samuel, Martha ______. Martha's death date is not given, but it's stated that "the three children of his second wife were living with their grandfather, Govenor Bradstreet, at the time of the latter's death."
Bradstreet-287 and Bradstreet-17 appear to represent the same person because: They are the same person; I created Bradstreet-287 which is a duplicate of Bradstreet-17
