Biography

July 17, 1741 -- Nathaniel Bradstreet was baptized at Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Province. [1]

June 20, 1740 -- Nathaniel Bradstreet was baptized at Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Province. [2]

Nathaniel Bradstreet [Jr.] was a son of Lieutenant Nathaniel Bradstreet and Hannah Hammond Bradstreet. [3]

November 30, 1752 -- date of Lieutenant Nathaniel Bradstreet's will. It mentioned his wife Hannah "who is to have 'that land which was in my Uncle John's division;' son Moses to have the homestead; son Nathaniel; son John; and daughters Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah, and Hannah (Essex Probate 331. Page 99)." [4]

December 7, 1762 -- Nathaniel Bradstreet and Phebe Jewett married at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Province. She was a daughter of Eliphalet Jewett [5] and Ruth (Pickard) Jewett of Rowley. [6]

April 13, 1741 -- Phebe Jewett was born at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Province. [7]

Nathaniel Bradstreet's homestead (farm) was at Ipswich just over the Rowley line. It was formerly owned by Thomas Hammond, Nathaniel's maternal grandfather. Thomas Hammond bought that farm in 1713 and there until he died on February 26, 1725. [8]

1763 - 1785 -- Nathaniel and Phebe Jewett Bradstreet had nine children: five daughters (Elizabeth, Phebe, Mary, Sarah and Hannah) and four sons (David, Daniel, Nathan, and Nathaniel). [9]

October 26, 1787 -- date of Hannah Hammond Bradstreet's will. It mentioned son Nathaniel: son John; daughter Mary Pearson; daughter Sarah Conurn; children of deceased daughter Elizabeth Plummer; and son-in-law Nathan Pearson, executor. (Essex Probate 362. Page 67). [10] January 2, 1804 -- date of Nathaniel Bradstreet's will. [11]

March 27 (Rowley Record) or 28 (G.S.), 1806 -- Nathaniel Bradstreet, 66 years old, died at Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts. [12]

May 7, 1806 -- date on which Nathaniel Bradstreet's will was probated. [13]

December 18, 1814 or 1815 (G.S.) -- Phebe Jewett Bradstreet, 74 years old, died at Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts. [14]
