Captain Moses Bradstreet (1643 - 1690)

1643 -- Moses Bradstreet was born at Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. He was a son of Humphrey and Bridget Bradstreet. [1]

November 14, 1644 -- Elizabeth Harris was born at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Her parents were John Harris and Bridget Angier. [2]

Captain Moses was a man of substance and influence, and a captain of the Rowley military company. [3]

August 16, 1654 -- Sarah Platts was born at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. [4]

March 11, 1661/1662 (i.e., 1662) -- Moses Bradstreet and Elizabeth Harris married at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. [5]

1662 - 1682 -- Moses and Elizabeth Harris Bradstreet had 10 children: three daughters (Elizabeth, Hannah, and Bridget) and seven sons (John, Moses, Humphrey, Nathaniel, Samuel 1, Aaron, and Samuel 2). [6]

1666 -- Moses Bradstreet inherited from his mother his father’s farm, a barn, a musket a chest and chair, a kettle, a Bern vessell, two kelers, and a churn. [7]

1682 -- Elizabeth Harris Bradstreet died at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. [8] She probably died in childbirth.

March 18, 1683/1684 (i.e., 1684) -- Moses Bradstreet and widow Sarah Platts Prime married at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. She was a daughter of Samuel Platts and Sarah Platts. Her first husband, Samuel Prime, died. [9]

1685 - 1687 -- Moses Bradstreet and Sarah Platts Prime Bradstreet had two sons: Samuel 3 and Jonathan. [10]

August 16, 1690 -- date of Moses Bradstreet's will. His will mentioned a ship, his home farm, lands in Haverhill, and other property. [11]

August ?? 1690 -- Moses died at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Province then was buried at Rowley Cemetery. [12]

September 30, 1690 -- date Moses Bradstreet's will was proved. [13]
