In 1812, Simon served in Captain James Durand’s 2nd Flank Company of the 5th Lincoln Militia. [1]
Simon served September 25 to October 24, 1812 and was at the Battle of Queenston Heights on October 13th. [2]

Simon escorted stores to Teford, February 10 to 18, 1813, in Major Richard Hatt’s Detachment. [4]
Simon served November 15 to 24, 1813 in Captain Daniel Young’s[5] Company. [6]
Simon served June 20 to July 24, 1814 in Lieut. Col. Andrew Bradt’s Detachment and took part in the Battle of Lundy’s Lane on July 25th. [7]
Simon served July 25 to 29, 1814 in Captain Daniel Young’s Company. [8]
Simon served September 15 to 22, 1814 in Lieutenant Ephraim Land’s Detachment. [9]
On July 9, 1817, Simon made a land petition as the son of Col. Andrew Bradt, a Loyalist of Barton Twp. He was the full age of 21. It was certified that Simon had done his duty in the late war. [10]
In June 1832, Simon filed a deed (or indenture of mortgage) with the Wentworth County Registry Office, for the purchase, over time, of 148 acres in Barton Township from Daniel Young and his children, including Simon's wife Elizabeth.[11]
Simon Bradt, a yeoman of Barton Twp. and a former private in a flank company of the 5th Lincoln, received 100 acres on the east half of Lot 6, Con. 8 NER, Warwick Twp. on August 24, 1836. [12]
