Robert was born about 1753 and was an orphan. When he was 17 years old he acquired a guardian by the name of Mr. J. Spalding. Robert served in the Revolutionary War for about three months. He passed away about 1826.

Marriage Robert Braford and Sarah Cornish were married at the Congregational Church on 4 December 1773 in what is now North Canaan, Litchfield, Connecticut.
