Thomas Joseph Bragg, son ofJohn Bragg and Lucy Rollins, was born in December 1839 in Rappahannock County, Virginia. He married Rachel Griffith Creel on April 19, 1867 in Rappahannock County, Virginia[1]. Thomas died November 15, 1910 in Rappahannock County, Virginia and was buried in the Bragg Family Cemetery, Amissville, Rappahannock, Virginia[2]

Thomas was a CSA veteran and was wounded at Seven Pines. His wife's application for a pension show the name and dates used. The application was for service in the Virginia 49th Infantry. The 49th Virginia Volunteer Infantry Regiment was an infantry regiment raised in Virginia for service in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. It fought mostly with the Army of Northern Virginia.
