Biography
John Blakemore Bragg was born on 22 December 22, 1795 in Ware Parish, Gloucester, Virginia. He was the son of Thomas Bragg and Lucy Neville (Blakemore) Bragg.
He married Lucinda Crump (1796 - 1885) on July 12, 1817 in Greenup, Kentucky. John and Lucinda had at least five children: Thomas Churchville Bragg (1820 - 1896), Amanda M.F. Bragg Hudspeth (1823 - 1896), Richard W. Bragg (1826 - 1864), Sarah S. Bragg (1829 - 1862) and Harriet Eliza Bragg West (1835 - 1917).
John died on 14 February 14, 1863 in Green City, Hickory, Missouri.
