Biography

Thomas William Bramble is born on June 16, 1907 in New South Wales, Australia. The birth is registered in 1908 in Stroud which is about 75 kilometres north of Newcastle. One source suggests the actual birth was in Bulahdelah which is 39 kilometres east of Stroud. Thomas’ parents are George Bramble (1883-1931) and Mary Ella McBride (1888-1943).

In 1936 Thomas marries Hettie Elizabeth Gray (1917-2000) in Bungwahl. Bungwahl is on the north side of Myall Lake, about 125 kilometres north of Newcastle.

They have five children:

Thomas and Hettie live in Maitland after their marrage Maitland is 30 kilometres west of Newcastle. Thomas dies in Maitland on September 30, 1970. He is buried in the cemetery in Forster, where his parents are also buried. Forster is 165 kilometes (via the Pacific Highway) north of Newcastle. Hettie dies in 2000 and is buried with her parents in the cemetery in Bungwahl.
