Biography

Edith was born in 1884, the daughter of Henry Brandt and Martha Becker. Her mother died when she was 4 yrs old, and she grew up partly in the home of her maternal grandparents. She married in 1907, and she and her husband lived in Minnesota where they had four children. She died in 1964.

In the 1900 census Edith aged 17 was in Prairie Township, Shelby, Illinois, United States.^[1]

Edith aged 24 married John W. Rozene aged 30y on 24 September 1907 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.^[2]

In the 1910 census Edithe aged 27 was in Prairie, Shelby, Illinois, United States.^[3]

In the 1920 census Edith aged 35 was in Fox Lake, Martin, Minnesota, United States.^[4]

In the 1930 census Edith aged 46 was in Fox Lake Township, Martin, Minnesota, United States.^[5]

In the 1940 census Edith aged 56 was in Fox Lake Township, Martin, Minnesota, United States.^[6]

Edith died 24 August 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri.^[7]

Her obituary, from The Index, Hermitage, Missouri,, Thu., Sept. 10, 1964, p. 1: Mrs. Edith Rosine, 80, Oak Grove, Mo., died August 24, at the Jackson County hospital after an illness of eight months. Mrs. Rosine was born in Vernon County, Missouri, and lived in Minnesota and near Preston in Hickory County, Missouri for seventeen years. She was a member of the E. U. B. Church at Welcome, Minn. Funeral services were held Aug. 27 at Oak Grove, Mo., and burial services were at Elm Creek Cemetery, Trimont, Minn. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Smith, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Martha Pritchard, Everton, Mo.; Mrs. Ruth George, Oak Grove, Mo.
