Biography

Margaret Braswell was born circa 1775 in Burke County, Georgia, to Kindred and Rhoda Braswell. Her birth place: Burke, Georgia, was formed in 1777.

Marriage

Margaret married Daniel Boatright in 1786. They lived in Burke, Bulloch, and Emanuel Counties, Georgia, often changing counties through the creation of new counties.

Margaret's husband, Daniel, died in 1818 in Emanuel County, GA. In September of that year she was made co-guardian of their minor children, Nancy and Charles, along with fellow guardians, Sion Kirkham and Edward Surrency. [3] In the 1827 Georgia Land Lottery, Margaret qualified for a land draw as the widow of a Revolutionary War soldier. She won 202 & 1/2 acres in Lee County, GA.

Death

Margaret passed away circa 1840 in Emanuel County, Georgia.[4]
