Biography

Charity was born on 5 April 1734 in Deep River, Cumberland, North Carolina, United States. She was the daughter of Jacob Braswell Sr. and Mary Braswell.[1][2][3]

Charity Braswell, child of Jacob Braswell, Sr., married Mr. Hedgepeth in Nash co., NC.[3] This can be found in the will of Jacob (see his profile.) The first name of her husband hasn't been ascertained.

In the 1790 census Charity (age about 45) was living in Robeson, North Carolina, United States, enslaved 1 person.[4]

In the 1800 census Charity (age about 55) was living in Fayetteville, Robeson, North Carolina, enslaved 3 persons[5]

Is it possible the birth year of Charity Braswell-355 is either incorrect or this is the wrong Charity Braswell? This Charity is almost 20 years older than the other siblings and was born in 1734 which makes her too early to be a child of Jacob Braswell born 1727.
I agree. I think the birthdate may be closer to 1745:
