NOTE: CORDY HOLLAND IS THE NEPHEW OF DAVID WOODARD WHOSE SISTER ELIZABETH WOODARD MARRIED DANIEL HOLLAND. HE, DANIEL HOLLAND DIED IN ROBERTSON CO., TN IN 1801.

1852, Jul 8, David Woodard's Will - Robertson Co., TN = Son Henry, daughter Mary Holland, daughter Drucilla, daughter Martha Woodard, son Noah Woodard, son Jesse Woodard. Wife Mary. NOTE: Mary is David's 2nd wife, she wrote her will 20 Dec 1856, 11 days after her 2nd husband, David Woodard died. She gave all to her son Jesse Brakefield. ALSO: THIS DAVID WOODARD's 1ST WIFE & MOTHER OF HIS CHILDREN WAS ELIZABETH BRASWELL, DAUGHTER OF SAMUEL BRASWELL & SARAH HUNT.

Micajah Braswell did not use the name with Hunt when he signed his deeds, yet the name Hunt is on 2 of them which leads me to wonder if he was born before his father's marriage to Sarah Hunt. I believe James Woodard's daughter Mary Hunt Braswell (as she was named in the will) was the wife of Micajah Braswell. This deed proves Micajah was born by 1764 because he had to be 21 to buy land. Interestingly David Strickland was the brother of Elizabeth Strickland who married Ralph Mason. Ralph wrote his will in Robertson Co., TN in 1808.

NOTE: Throughout the deed Micajah is referred to as Micajah Braswell Hunt but he signs his name Micajah Braswell.

Excerpts from James Woodard's 1808 Nash Co., NC Will: Item,' I give and bequeath to my Daughter MARY HUNT BRASWELL' nineteen Dollars which I have already paid & have to pay for her..... Item, I give and bequeath to my grandson HENRY WOODARD (son of DAVID WOODARD) one feather bed without furniture to him and his heirs forever...... my three children, namely AARON WOODARD, ELIZABETH HOLLAND & KEZIAH MASINGALE ..

NOTE: DAVID WOODARD and his SISTER ELIZABETH HOLLAND ended up in ROBERTSON CO., TN. It would appear their sister MARY who married the BRASWELL did too, because I found MARY BRANSWILL owing the estate of Nicholas Conrad 5.37 1/2, Dec 18, 1811, and in the SPRING CREEK of RED RIVER Church Minutes June 16, 1810 "Mary Stark (or Branwell as used to be)" listed among members dismissed to start a separate church.

1814 Aug 19, - in ROBERTSON CO., TN, DANIEL HOLLAND'S HEIRS receive their portions of their father's estate - WILLIE, CORDY, DANIEL, GARRY (GARRET).
