DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Richard by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Richard:

True enough. I run into inaccurate material all the time. I, too, think it's people trying to extend their dead-ends without documentation. Happens more often than you'd expect.

I have no inside knowledge of this, but it's not unusual for a child to be omitted from a will. First-born sons are often left out because it's assumed they will inherit; married daughters are occasionally absent because they are not in need; etc. I an even see where a son or daughter on the outs with their father could be absent. So, it's not entirely impossible that a child is missing from a will.

What you say is true, my direct ancestor, William Braswell d.1721 Chowan Co., NC was not in his father's will, because he died before the will, but the circumstantial evidence is overwhelming because he was in records with his siblings. If you examine the Braswell records of these people, you will see that there is no evidence of a Diana, who needs to be removed from the tree. It is quite possible that Diana is a brick wall, like many of my female ancestresses.

Rev Robert Bracewell DID NOT have a daughter named DIANA. She is not in his will. Where did this information come from? I do not know how to fix this. Will someone please read the will and fix this. Thanks.

I'm too old for this. Just kick me out of the tree. I didn't know that wills made babies.

Hi Jim, I didn't mean to be too matter of fact. But I have seen no circumstantial evidence whatsoever of any Diana either. Please forgive my unintentional tone. I am just in the habit of basing things off of the records where possible.

Braswell-1469 and Bracewell-109 appear to represent the same person because: same birth date/place; same father; appear to have same wife; both father of Richard Bracewell. Death date needs to be reconciled and LNAB should be Bracewell.
