Biography

Aefje (Eva) Arents (aka Bradt) was born about 1649 at Beverwyck, New Netherland and died January 23, 1728 in Schenectady, Albany County, New York. She married Nicholas Van Petten about 1670 and they had eleven children.[1]

Claas Frederickse Van Patten, born May 30, 1641, died October 3, 1728, married Aeffie Arents (aka Bratt), daughter of Arent and Catalyntje (De Vos) Bratt. He arrived in Schenectady in 1664 and was appointed a Justice of the Peace by Gov. Leisler.[2]

Bradt-630 and Arents-78 appear to represent the same person because: These are clearly the same person. Arents-78 is the project protected profile with the last name that has been determined to be her LNAB.
